'First Generation' Vintage single action six-shot revolver chambered in .38-40 Win, manufactured in Hartford, CT circa 1907. Introduced in 1894, the Colt Bisley was marketed as a target revolver and got its name from the Bisley shooting range in England. Features a 5 1/2" barrel with one line address, fixed blade front sight, 'v' notch rear sight cut into the topstrap, smooth wide trigger, knurled wide low-profile hammer spur, fluted cylinder, ejector rod, steel frame, humpback grip frame and checkered hard rubber grips with molded Rampant Colt decor. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap. The backs of the grip panels are inscribed “H.L. Gobalet San Anselmo Cal”. Revolver retains little to no remaining finish with the metal appearing cleaned, displaying a soft grey patina and some scattered oxidation. Action is crisp with four clicks & good lock-up, the bore is semi-lustrous with light rifling & scattered pitting towards the muzzle, markings are good and the nice fitting hard rubber grips are good with a couple notches & some minor losses. Condition is NRA Fair. ***C&R Firearm***
