This is a superb 1st printing (pre-concert) poster from a pair of November 1967 performances by Chuck Berry and The Sons of Champlin at the Family Dog venue, Denver, Colorado.
Art on this stunning piece is by the great Rick Griffin in collaboration with Victor Moscoso. Griffin's contribution is very evident by the incredible lettering, which actually says nothing at all! Moscoso's center piece is the butterfly, which is clearly consistent with his use of neon colors. The butterfly is in fact a very creative portrait of Griffin. One of the 60's most visually amazing rock posters!
The condition of this poster (14" x 20 1/8") is an amazing MINT. Colors are bright and vivid, the corners sharp, and there are no flaws, bends, creases, nicks or cuts whatsoever. Absolutely gorgeous!

The auctioneer reserves the right not to accept any bid which is only a partial advance over the preceding bid.
The auctioneer may break down or consolidate any lot or lots at his sole discretion.
Galaxy Auctions Canada assumes no responsibility for any liability once a bid is accepted.
Products are sold "as is, where is" and there shall be no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied, statutory or otherwise of any nature.
Catalogue is prepared only as a guide. No sale shall be invalidated by any reason or defect or inaccuracy of description in catalogue or otherwise, and no liability shall be borne by the auctioneers by virtue of any such fault or error.

The winning bidder is not entitled to possession until all items have been paid for in full.
In the event that the purchase prices are not paid within 72 hours (unless email arrangements are made), the auctioneer shall have the right to resell such items in whatever manner he sees fit without notice to the purchaser.
All costs and responsibilities of removal shall be borne by the winner bidder within the time prescribed by the auctioneer.
The winning bidder hereby indemnifies the auctioneer and the vendor against any and all damages arising from the dismantling and removal of any lots.
Any lots not removed within the prescribed time shall be deemed as abandoned. The auctioneer shall have the right to resell or dispose of such items in whatever manner he sees fit without notice to the purchaser.
If for any reason, Galaxy Auctions Canada is unable to deliver any or all of an awarded lot or title thereof, the sole liability of Galaxy Auctions Canada shall be the refund of any monies paid on the lot.
It is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder to remove their items within the prescribed time.
Galaxy Auctions Canada is not responsible for shipping Carrier's lost or damaged items.
If shipping is not arranged within 72 hours the buyer agrees the auctioneer may auto ship all items at the buyers expense.
