This is a scarce first edition of "The Authentic Life of Billy the Kid, the Noted Desperado" by Pat F. Garrett and published in 1927. The book is an exciting historical account of the life of Henry McCarty, AKA William H. Bonney, AKA "Billy the Kid". McCarty spent most of his adult life as a fugitive outlaw who is known to have killed eight men before being killed by Lincoln County Sheriff, Pat Garrett, on July 14, 1881. The book contains many photos, maps, and illustrations. It shows good condition and measures 6" x 8.75".
