Antique rifle Snider- Enfield model 1862/ II*, .577 Percussion single shot trap door, w/ bbl length 36 1/2" [Blued finish. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Full wood stock with brass butt plate, trigger guard and other parts. Includes white webbed sling and firing pin block. Markings include "VR" crown, "1862 ENFIELD" and proof and inspection marks on lock plate. "ii*" on top of receiver, 'BSA CO" on top of breech block, serial no. "6044" on underside of rear sight, "QOR" (Queen's Own Rifles) Canadian regiment and "170" on butt plate plus other assorted proof and inspection marks. Mechanically functions reasonable well. Rear sight ladder is missing. Surface rust on all metal. Some heavier dings and scratches to wood, no cracks seen plus use handling and storage marks to and metal.] serial # 6044, No PAL required
