Colt Model 1900 second army contract U.S. marked and factory converted “Sight Safety” S/N 1614. One of only 200 produced and delivered to U.S. military in 1901. .38 A.C.P. caliber with checkered wood grips, forward slide serrations, large U.S. on front of left trigger guard bow, R.A.C. inspections on right. Very good plus original condition with 75%-85% original blue remaining, minor erosion and slight scratches, shows some minor carry and use along with just natural aging. The grips are crisp and also very good plus with bright blue on screws. Most case colors on hammer. Bright bore and pristine interior. Patent dated nickel plated magazine correct to this issue. One of the rarest of all Colt martially issue semi-auto pistols and a completely authentic collector’s quality example. (Refer: William A.
