Marlin Model 1893 Takedown lever action rifle, .32-40 caliber, Serial #391080. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 26” octagon barrel with a silver knife blade front and standard rear sight. The barrel and full-length magazine retain nearly all of their blue finish with the barrel marked, “SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL”. The receiver is primarily grey/brown patina with toning case hardening evident in the bolt, hammer and lever. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition showing moderate to heavy use with numerous mars and compressions, some oil staining and scrapes. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel crescent butt plate that is slightly proud at the toe. The bore is good, the markings are sharp and the action is crisp on this nice Marlin. Est.: $700-$1,400.
