Engraved Colt Model 1849 Pocket Model percussion revolver, .31 caliber, 4” barrel, dark patina, wood grips, brass straps, S/N 214378 (all matching visible numbers); good action, some visible cylinder scene, finely engraved, some scattered erosion with pitting confined primarily to the cylinder; very good grips; accompanied by an old leather covered book with cut out for gun and accessories including a brass powder flask, iron bullet mold, combination screwdriver/nipple wrench, UMC cap tin and un-marked cased ambrotype of a gentleman in jacket and scarf tie; book is entitled “Reports of Explorations and Surveys/Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean/Made under the Direction of the Secretary of War in 1853-1856/Volume IX/1858. Interestingly, the front cover page shows an old penned inscription: “Presented to Thomas A Fitzgibbon/Lieut. 14th Mich. Vet. Vol. Inf., USA/by his brother/L.T. Fitzgibbon”; no specific provenance accompanies this piece; from an old Northwest estate. (Antique). Est.:

Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
