Kidd Family Auctions is a business with a down home family feel. It’s owned and operated by Dennis Kidd and Lyn Grose. Dennis graduated from Southwestern Ontario School of Auctioneering in 1995. In early 2015 Dennis formed Kidd Family Auctions. The staff team consists of three generations of Kidds and hand-picked, capable staff members. We have experience with a wide range of auctions stemming from our background in farming and extending to a variety of other industries. Auctions are meant to be fun, exciting and entertaining. This online art auction came to be as a result of our sister, Kathy Dornan’s, recent diagnosis of Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Her medical team advised a protocol of standard chemotherapy combined with naturopathic treatments and supplements. Since her condition is described as palliative, the oncologist estimated that she would require approximately 100K in order to fund the cost of the treatments, supplements, rent, and nutrition. Creating Klondike Online Auction is the outcome of a dream I had been nurturing for many years. Everyone has heard of the quote “Follow your Passion” but most of us think, what is my passion and how do I turn that into a way to make a living? Looking for a deal, in whatever way, has always been something I love.
Looking for deals, buying other people’s castoffs (or treasures) and hearing the stories around why they no longer want or need something is fascinating. Ladders’ Up for the Foundation Online Auction & Reception

Ladders’ Up for the Foundation is a charitable event and online auction held annually to raise funds for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The event takes place every spring during the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs Conference in Toronto and features live music, great food, prize draws and immeasurable networking opportunities. Months leading up to the event, companies and organizations donate goods and/or services, which are then posted on our auction website. Many fire personnel visit the auction website to bid on the donated items.

Funds raised from the auction and during the event go to supporting the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation which honors firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty and helps support their families. Every dollar raised from this event goes to towards the foundation’s education fund for the families of fallen firefighters. Since the inception of Ladders Up, we have raised over $100,000 for this important charity.

The 2016 Ladders Up for the Foundation Reception is on April 30th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 33 Carlson Court in Toronto from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. The online auction launches on March 1st.

We are still in need of items for the online auction site and raffle prizes during the event. We hope you will consider donating an item. Your donation can be in the form of a product, service or any specialty item (gift cards, electronics, excursions etc.). In exchange for your support, your company will be recognized as a contributor on the auction website and at during the reception. Dr. Saul Larner brings a wealth of experience and passion to his roles as a certified, bilingual auctioneer and realtor. Having managed a wide variety of large scale residential and commercial property auctions, his expertise and acumen in real estate auctioneering is unparalleled.

Dr. Larner offers his clients the highest level of service and professionalism. With his AARE (Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate) designation—an honor achieved by fewer than 5 percent of Auctioneers across North America—he continues to differentiate himself in the world of real estate auctioneering.

He is a graduate of both the Worldwide College of Auctioneering. In addition, he has a Ph.D. with a specialty in international economics and further distinguishes himself with an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in international taxation. He thrives in advising his international clients to deploy money into the United States and to hedge against currency fluctuations prior to the real estate closing, as well as international asset protection strategies. He further holds a specialty in the LL.M. program as it relates to e-commerce. Dr. Larner is the author of several books on real estate including “Start The Show”, the first book ever written on real estate auctioneering. Two of his other books, “Catching Foreclosures” and “Steal That Property” are now becoming quite timely again. His six hour course on real estate auctioneering, “I Bid You Prosperity” was qualified as a 6 hour, continuing education course by the California Department of Real Estate Licensing Board.

This broad, far reaching array of auction experience underscore Dr. Larner’s passion about real estate…and further evidence of the great job he can do for you.

He was the appointed auctioneer for the $40 million Robert Taylor Ranch and Fox 11 promoted with compliments to the seller an impressive aerial documentary of the property. Dr. Larner attributes part of this to his great ability to write effective press releases.

He has created several innovative financing strategies, including the sale-leaseback with right of repurchase which negates taxation due to the categorization of a financial device rather than a sale. He created the software for the net present value number crunching.

Further, he was responsible for the sale of many newly constructed, luxury condos in Brentwood, CA These were liquidations where he interfaced with Mitsu Manufactures Bank, an Asian international bank and implanted many successful and unique strategies to bring liquidation to an earlier conclusion.

One of his landmark conclusions during trying times was to mastermind the extension of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a developer of 20 co-ops. At that time, he was the first real estate broker to convince Fanny Mae to finance co-ops as a mortgage. These were then liquidated within a 72-hour time period.

He has vast experience in negotiating with banks when properties are “underwater” and has coined the term, “Settlement is an Art”.

In his personal life, he is the loving father of two exceptionally successful children and two grandchildren. He is a 32 nd degree Mason with membership in the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriners International.

Las Vegas Auction is one of the oldest auction houses in Las Vegas. Since 1962 Las Vegas Auction has been serving the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding communities.

Regular weekly auctions take place in one to two of our three approximately 17,000 square foot warehouses which are packed wall-to-wall with untold treasures and bargains. Auctions consist of a mixture of used and new furniture, antiques, collectibles, decorator items, home electronics, computers, office furniture, commercial equipment, restaurant equipment, jewelery, coins, tools, and many, many more "one of a kind" items.

Additional themed auctions are sometimes scheduled between regular auctions and can be at different off-site locations to accommodate business liquidations.
