An important pair of fancy floral carved California batwing chaps, especially made for Tom Mix with his initials carved into the pocket flaps. 24 slotted nickel conchos, floral tooled and carved billet, pockets and side trim. The chaps are characteristically Mix, with his “high and tight” fit, extra conchos and distinctive lacing hole on the outer batwing. Said to have been gifted by Tom to the owner of the iconic Hollywood eatery, the Brown Derby, where Mix was a regular. Includes custom stand.

Included with this lot are ten Tom Mix carnival/post cards, 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" each, circa 1929, all framed together to 8 3/4" x 40 3/4".

Provenance: From the Estate of Larry Howard
