Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #12212. The pistol is in very good overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains the majority of its factory nickelfinish with knackering at the rear of the action and some flaking on the cylinder. The checkered wood gold medallion grips are in good condition showing mars, flattening of the checkering and compressions from use.The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. The pistol is accompanied by a Smith and Wesson factory letter indicating the pistol shipped from the factory to Cowdrey Exporters Co., New YorkCity, New York on July 15, 1915 with all features as described.
