This is a Sioux Native American Indian fully beaded medicine stick from the Otto Ernst Collection in Sheridan, Wyoming. The medicine stick is beaded with glass seed trade beads in Corn Yellow and Semi-transparent Lavender. From the center of the stick are two attached medicine bundles beaded in Corn Yellow and Cheyenne Pink. This piece came from the Otto Ernst Collection displayed at the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming. Ernst was a saddle maker in Wyoming in the early 1900's. The medicine stick has the original museum leather tag still attached. The Sioux medicine stick is in good overall condition. One of the bundles shows minor separation as shown. The piece measures 21.5" long.
