For bidding in this lot is a collection of obsolete ammunition - Mostly for sharps rifles, and two brand new Sharps Lawrence style graduated ladder rear sights. The sights include one full-buckhorn, and one semi-buckhorn, and each are paired with Rocky Mountain blade front sights, made by Shiloh Sharps of Big Timber, Montana. The ammo collection consists of 40 rounds of un-fired Cabelas "Obsolete" 2 7/8" .45-110, 500 grain, lead rounds, 40 empty brass cases of .40-70 Sharps Straight (23 of which have never loaded, and 17 fired but properly cleaned) formed correctly from .30-40 Krag cases by Buffalo Arms Co., a box of 20 new and unused .40-90 Sharps Straight brass cases turned from solid brass stock by Rifle Works and Armory, of Cody, Wyoming, a box of 20 un-primed .40-70 Bottle Neck Sharps and Remington, 2 1/4" cases made correctly from shortened and necked Bertram Brass .45-90 straight cases, and lastly, a box of ten loaded rounds of .45-110, 2 7/8" brass case formed cartridges. Overall, the collection shows very good condition. The second box of Cabelas .45-110 was opened previously for viewing and photography purposes. The plastic box of 10 .45-110 rounds is the largest container in the lot, and measures 7 5/8" long, 1 3/4" deep, and 3 7/8" tall.
