Scarce Model 1833 Dragoon saber with 35-3/4 inch quill back blade, brass hilt and leather wrapped grip with fine wire wrap. The saber is complete with original browned iron scabbard. The counter guard and quillion have the standard ordnance inspection marks and the right side of the quillion is stamped with Massachusetts "MS" property marks. The blade shows traces of the original, dry needle etched markings. This is a scarce saber that probably saw Civil War service. The saber is very good, the hilt has the original wire and leather wrap. The blade has been polished but is very good condition. The scabbard is pitted and is fair to good.
