This is an exceptional collection of two authentic Pre-Historic Neolithic Ancient paint bowls. Both bowls were recovered in South Dakota in the 1930's by Max Preston. The first shows an exquisite Jasper carved bowl recovered in Spink County South Dakota showing a shallow bowl with rich red/brown coloring and wonderful condition. The other is a stone paint bowl recovered in Campbell County South Dakota. Both pieces shows a well preserved condition and are truly museum quality. The owner would have ground up mineral paints such as ocher and crafted paints to adorn Buffalo Hides and bowls. Jasper bowl is . Stone Bowl is .
