Nestled in the far southeast corner of the province, Heart of the Mountains Outdoor Adventures/Elk Valley Bighorn Outfitters offers summer horseback trips into the Elk Lakes Provincial Park and Height of the Rockies Provincial Park. During your trip, you will enjoy some of the finest cutthroat fishing in BC.
An average day consists of a hearty breakfast and a ride to a small alpine lake for a picnic and some superior fly fishing. This is followed by a ride back through incredible scenery to a home-cooked dinner, campfire stories and maybe a game of mountain bocce ball. The main lodge is accessible by car from Cranbrook, BC and includes cabins, hot showers, and a sauna and hot tub. The cost of the fishing licence is the responsibility of the buyer. Additional participants can join for $1,200 CAD.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
