Original bronze of American Buffalo entitled Prarie Spring by Douglas Van Howd, #1/50. Measures 21-1/2” to the top of the shoulder not including base. Approx. 36” from nose to tail. Beautifully accomplished and nicelypatinated. Douglas Van Howd (1935 - ) is a very well recognized sculptor whose works are actively collected by an international clientele. His depiction of the Pony Express fills the entrance of the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV (Formerly MGM Grand) and his sculpture entitled Friends of Freedom is displayed in the Roosevelt room at the Whitehouse.
