This is an original WWI American Red Cross poster from 1918. The poster shows a wonderful image of a Red Cross nurse cradling a wounded soldier in her arms. The artwork for the piece was created by Alonzo Earl Foringer, an American painter in the early 1900's. The poster reads "The Greatest Mother in the World" and "Red Cross Christmas Roll Call Dsc. 16-23rd". The bottom left corner is marked "Coptright 1918 by American National Red Cross". The bottom right corner is marked "Edwards & Deutsch Litho Co. Chicago". The WWI Red Cross poster is in good condition. There is some chipping around the edges and a 6" tear at the bottom center as shown. The poster measures 28" x 42".
