Gallager percussion Civil War carbine manufactured by Richardson & Overman. .50 caliber, serial #17935. Very good original condition. Refer Flayderman 9B-052 where is identified as a 2nd model. The carbineremains in very good condition showing strong traces of blue and case hardening within its patina finish. Perhaps as much as 10-20%. There is some scattered erosion and light to moderate pitting> The lock markings are goodand sharp, the stock is very good with a sharp cartouche that is fully visible with some minor scratches, dings, losses at the toe from aging. The sights and small parts are all retained. The action is good, borevery good plus to near excellent and overall a better than average example. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $900 - $1,800
