Walker, Company D, first regiment of infantry, Maryland Veterans, enrolled 28 November 1861, discharged 30 November 1864 by reason of expiration of term of service. Davis was born in Maryland, 20 years of age, 5’ 7”, grey eyes, dark hair, was a farmer. Declaration given at Petersburg, 30th day of November 1864 sighed John W. Wilson, Colonel. And W. Gentry,Captain, 17th Infantry MV (Maryland Volunteers). Stamp in right corner, November 1st 1864. The document measures approx. 11-1/2” by 9-1/2”, shows folding, staining, fraying, and normal aging.
