Flintlock fowler circa 18th century converted to percussion in the 19th century showing Native American Indian tacking, hide and wire wrapped decoration from the 19th century. Shows private collection tag “Fenn” of FennGallery Santa Fe, New Mexico. Measures 52 ½” overall with about a 16GA smoothbore. Fenn of Fenn Galleries was an early art dealer who collected American Indian artifacts that were decorated. He had a great eye and superiorknowledge and was active from 1950’s to 90’s. He was the definitive expert on the art of Joseph Sharpe and wrote a book on the subject. Uncleaned and quite “Real” not a tourist piece. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000
