Fine Silver Hilted and Adorned Caucasian Kinjal Dagger with Matching Sheath
Originally developed in the Caucasus and Georgia, and later adopted by the Cossacks. The blade is nearly 12 inches long and 1 1/10 inches wide, with a set of triple fullers in the central section, double edges, and a long tapered spear point. One piece silver hilt, with flaring at the front and rear to form the pommel and guard, a beaded border around the front edge and extensive decoration on one side, including twisted silver wire patterns, black enamel fill, silver balls at the front and rear, and an oval silver bar in the center. OAL: 17 1/4". Silver sheath, with similar wire and enamel decoration on one side, a ball tip followed by a wire wrap, and a pair of stamped gilt brass panels with leafy vine decorations.

Condition: Very fine overall. The blade is also very fine showing some light handling marks, and the hilt and sheath showing some enamel loss with a fine mixed aged patina.
