English made for export Flintlock Pistol with brass barrel showing British proofs and simple engraved lock and hammer probably an American gun smith conversion from flint to percussion. A fur trade era mountain manstyle pistol made about 1820-1830 converted 1840’s to 1850’s by style. 14” overall with a 8” brass barrel of 60 plus caliber smooth bore. Stock is in good to very good condition. Trigger guard is nicely engravedwith pineapple finial and florals. Action is sound and working. Very similar to examples marked Keiland and Sharpe.
