European center-hammer flintlock powder tester, probably French, circa 1800-1820. Bag-shaped wood grip. Nicely engraved with stand of arms. Fine to near excellent original condition. Some mars to the brass, a couple of nicks to the wood. The tester measures approx. 5-1/2” from end to end. The overall design and engraving has a French flare. From the Keith Coulter collection.
