For bidding in this lot is an exceptional Edwardian style platinum and diamond ring, originating from the early portion of the 1900's, between 1900 and 1920. The ring shows trademark design qualities of a fine Edwardian piece, boasting a light, airy construction, and materials common for the craft, including diamond and platinum, which was a new material in jewelry at that period of time. The inside of the band is stamped prominently with "PLATINUM - IRID. 10%", giving the ring a 900 platinum grade. Aside from the gorgeous setting, the ring showcases thirteen diamonds, all showing a round faceted cut, and matching well in clarity. The weight of the diamonds as a whole is approximated at 1 carat. This ring originates from the personal estate of the late Bob Scriver and his wife Lorraine. Overall, the ring shows very-good condition, showing off a bright white platinum finish, and tightly set diamonds. The ring measures to a US Size 8 1/4. The ring weighs out to 4 grams.
