Offered for sale is a Custom U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark I 22-250 Rifle. The rifle features a 22" McGowen barrel, polished bolt, walnut stock, scope mounts, tuned trigger, and a deep blue finish. It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt-action rifle on June 19, 1903, and saw service in World War I. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster-firing semi-automatic eight-round M1 Garand starting in 1936. This rifle looks to have had good quality custom work done to make it a great shooter. The rifle is in good condition, with minor handling marks on the wood and 98%+ bluing.
