The lot features a fancy beaded flat medicine pouch from the Crow Native American Indians in Montana and dating to circa 1890. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with a very unique fancy beaded pattern using all period correct 19th Century glass trade seed beads. The beadwork shows such colors as Greasy Yellow, Chalk White, Cheyenne Pink, White Lined Red and Semi-transparent Blue. The Crow beaded bag is in good condition. The bag also shows a wonderful yellow mineral ocher dye along the front and a fancy beaded outer edge with an unusual and scarce bead strand top strap. Provenance: From a historical Native American and Western antique collection in Billings, Montana. It measures 3.25" x 4.5".
