Available for public purchase is this fine exquistely beaded tobacco pouch from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana and dating to the 19th Century. This 1800's beaded pouch shows a wonderful floral geometric pattern beaded in a whimsical manner all in period correct glass trade seed beads of Cheyenne pink, cobalt blue, medium green, semi-transparent red, light blue, chalk white, semi-transparent amber and semi-transparent Cheyenne pink. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with ocher mineral pigment dyed surface having a fine fancy beaded edge. The top of the bag still exhibits the original Indian tanned hide tie, which is a rare and welcomed addition. The bag shows trade thread sewing and a wonderful rich patina. Measures overall 6.25"x4".
