Colt Model 1908 semi-automatic pocket pistol, .380 caliber, 3.75” barrel, nickel finish, checkered wood medallion grips, S/N 84440, in overall very good condition showing the majority of its original finish, good bore,crisp action and markings, overall good grips with wear on the bottom area of the right grip; a light “W” is scratched into the finish on the right side of the frame above the grip. Accompanying this gun is a brownleather single loop holster and a letter of provenance from Warren P. Duffield, son of Warren J. Duffield and Phyllis (Gee) who recounts his father’s history as the first owner of this Colt. In summary, Warren J.was reportedly given the gun in 1926 on his 21st birthday. He worked a variety of jobs over his lifetime including hunting and ranching; the gun was passed to Noah Earnest Duffield, a relative, and then on to WarrenP. (C&R/No PPT). Est.: $600-$1,200.
