Colt 1862 Police Conversion revolver, .38 caliber rimfire revolver serial #12346, 4-1/2” round barrel with ejector rod housing, one piece ivory grips, 1871/72 patent dates. Made as a cartridge gun from leftoverpercussion parts. The pistol shows an excellent quality restoration, probably by Tom Haas Sr. with sharp markings, good edges, all matching serial numbers, nicely aged original ivory grips that show some checkingand are slightly undersized. With factory letter confirming caliber, barrel length, and shipped to Sulzbacher, Hyman, Wolff & Company. April 16, 1877, 40 guns in shipment. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
