2012 VGBRA Stallion Service Auction
Terms and Conditions
The stallion services will be sold at auction to the highest bidder. The bids will start at one-half the annual advertised fee or $300, whichever is greater. The auction will begin January 2, 2012 and continue through January 31, 2012 ending at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. An Auction House fee of 4% shall be charged on all winning bids.
Successful bidders will be notified within 24 hours and all credit card payments will be run through within 48 hours. You must provide Norma Kelly with the 3-digit security code found on the back of your credit card prior to being approved to bid. Payments made by credit card will be charged a 3% transaction fee on the total due, (the winning bid amount plus the 4% auction house fee). Payment can be made by personal check if approval is received prior to the end of the auction by contacting Norma Kelly at 509-525-6177.
All stallion services are sold in concurrence with the conditions and procedures of the farm at which the stallion stands, and purchaser agrees to abide by these conditions. All stallion services are sold “as is” and there will be no chute fee. All services are sold with a live foal guarantee with the right to return the following season if the mare fails to settle in foal the year the service is purchased.
The successful bidder of a stallion service must use the breeding during the current breeding season. All fees associated with boarding, mare care, cooled or frozen semen and veterinary costs are between the successful bidder and the stallion owner. The VGBRA assumes no responsibility for any other business conducted between the stallion owner and the successful bidder. It is the responsibility of the service purchaser to make all necessary arrangements with the stallion owner regarding breeding and the availability of shipped semen.
Any stallion service which does not receive a minimum bid during the auction shall be available on a first come first serve basis for the minimum bid plus $50 until February 15, 2012 by contacting: Norma Kelly, 4651 Frog Hollow Rd., Touchet, WA 99360 or phone: 509-525-6177.
In the event that death should occur to a stallion before the stallion service can be used all monies will be refunded to the buyer. If a stallion is sold or leased before mare is settled in foal and the new owner refuses to honor the contract, the purchaser monies will be refunded. Any questions or disputes shall be settled by the VGBRA Stallion Incentive Program Committee and their decision shall be final. All foals by eligible stallions, whose service sells either through the auction or is paid in by the owner/lessee (referred to as reference sires), are immediately eligible to compete for the purses as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.
