The lot features a terrific turn of the 19th Century Cheyenne Native American Indian fully beaded cradle board papoose cover. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with long cut fringe accenting the bottom and a section of fully beaded Buffalo hide attached, adding to the art appeal and splendor of the piece. The piece shows all early 19th century glass trade seed beads with a chalk white base and traditional geometric patterns in black, red, and medium green all being accented by the fully beaded rope like edge at the top, a truly quality addition. The base of the cradle cover shows a fancy beaded edging done in black glass trade beads. The piece is from the Ted and Lilly Jarvis Collection of Wyoming and from the Ben Thompson Collection. The item measures 28 inches overall in length to the end of the fringe. Truly a fine condition original piece.
