This is a marvelous table top or hanging folding desk and blackboard. It was made by Lewis E. Myers and Company of Valparaiso, IND. It is billed as "A plan to promote the culture of work and play among children in the home". The latest copyright date on the picture panels is 1913. The patent dates go back to Oct. 20, 1885. There are 26 panels on the scroll showing basic drawing to quite advanced things like shorthand and morse code, architectural drawings and perspective, business forms, music and much more. It folds into a 24 x 18 x 3" unit where the blackboard or desk top covers the paper scroll and the desk storage area. It is in excellent condition with all of the scroll intact with no tears.
