This is an example of a 98K bolt action as manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker. The top of the receiver is marked "duv / 41", the right side is marked with three "eagle/214" proofs and the firing proof and serial number appear on the left side. The left receiver wall is marked "Mod 98", the left rear of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof and the serial number, and vertically "duv" followed by three "eagle/214" proofmarks. The right side of the barrel directly behind the handguard is marked with two "eagle/214" proofmarks. The rifle has the correct early, all milled parts and is mounted with a correct laminated stock and matching handguard with cupped buttplate and absent of any markings. All visible numbers match except for forward band which is number "3245". Complete with a tan leather sling, slotted cleaning rod and "41fnj" coded bayonet with a serrated Bakelite handle, matching scabbard and leather frog.

Condition: Very good. The rifle retains 20% scattered thin original finish mixed with smooth gray and brown patina. The stock is excellent, with the exception of a small gouge on the right side below the sling slot, there are some scattered minor scratches and dings. The sling is excellent. The markings are highlighted in white and remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The bayonet is very good, the scabbard is good with a smooth mottled brownish patina and the frog is good.
