Suffice it to say, you will be blown away by the pristine wilderness and amazing big game opportunities at Claw Mountain Outfitters. Guide outfitter Rick Solmonson has the exclusive right to guide hunters in a spectacular 2,400 square kilometer area located in northwestern BC. Rick has been guiding in northern BC for 30 years.
Claw Mountain Outfitters is a great company to help you check “goat hunt” off your bucket list. They offer professional staff, comfortable accommodations and a commitment to client experience.
Leaving Prince George on August 28, you will enjoy 10 days of 1:1 backpack goat hunting with your choice of bow or rifle. You need to be in good shape to climb these mountains in search of billies. Field preparation of your trophy is included, and the Solmonsons will bring it to Black Lake for you. All meals will be provided. Your accommodations will be at their base lodge and remote spike camps. Laundry and showers are available at the base camp. Hunters are able to upgrade this hunt to include moose or caribou for a trophy fee of $3,500 CAD per animal.
The hunter will be responsible for transportation by float plane ($2,500) from Prince George into camp. Licences, tags, HPF and royalties are additional.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
