19th century powdertester marked “G & J Hawksley”, brass body, hardwood grip, possibly rosewood. Iron wheel with stamped graduations, blue tension spring on bottom. Measures nearly 8” in length. Metal portionapprox. 3-1/2”. Condition is very good plus to near fine. Hawksley was a famous maker of powder flasks in the 19th century, but this is the only Eprouvette marked with his name on it.
