Excellent quality Spanish percussion belt pistol with gold inlaid barrel in fancy script, “De Herra Duras (Made of Horseshoe), for Alberdi J.Y.C., Ano (Year) 1830”. 2 gold lines at the breech and braided ring at the muzzle. Chiseled lion on the hammer face. Measures 10 3/8” overall with a 4 ½” barrel in .62 caliber smoothbore. Brown patina finish that is uncleaned and ‘As Found” out of the attic condition. The stock is very good plus with good checkering, minor bumps, and aging. Original belt hook and ramrod. Made during period that California was still under Spanish rule as a good deal of Southern U.S. (Antique) Est.: $900-$1800
