S/42 Luger semi-automatic pistol, 9mm caliber, Serial #9907. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 4” barrel as re-finished. The pistol retains nearly all of an old, quality professional re-finish with light wear at the muzzle and handling marks. The top of the toggle is marked, “S/42” with additional German proofs that according to the consignor, are Mauser Navy contract proofs. The pistol features all matching visible serial numbers, other than the magazine. The front ring is dated 1937 in front of the chamber. The checkered wood grips are in very good condition with sharp checkering. The pistol includes one correct magazine with an aluminum base and a non-matching serial #661. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable S/42 Luger. Est.: $500-$1,000. (C+R).
