Savage Model 1899 Takedown lever action rifle, .250-.3000 Savage caliber, Serial #181377. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 22” tapered round barrel with a ramped blade front sight and folding rear sight. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their blue finish with light wear at the muzzle and areas of light surface erosion on the receiver. The rifle features the brass shell counter and shows beautiful toned case hardening on the lever, particularly on the protected portion of the assembly. A period Lyman tang sight has been added during the period of use. The checkered wood stocks are in very good condition with the fore end serialized to the rifle. The butt stock features a pistol grip and ends with a Savage marked steel butt plate. The bore is very good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable Savage manufactured in 1916. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
