Custom Model 1902 Luger Carbine, .30 Luger caliber, Serial #24424. The pistol is in fine overall condition with an 11 ¾” barrel. The pistol retains nearly all of its fine rust blue finish with only light handling marks. The consignor notes that the pistol was professionally fabricated by John Martz or World of Lugers but the work is extraordinarily well done and pays great attention to detail. The straw finished parts show light to moderate thinning of finish. The toggle is DWM marked and all visible serial numbers are matching including the butt stock. The checkered Walnut grips are in very good condition with sharp checkering and some light darkening due to oil. The lot includes a matching, numbered Walnut shoulder stock, three unmarked nickel plated magazines with wooden bases, original period leather sling, takedown tool, pin punch, box of Winchester .30 Luger rounds and combination cleaning rod/oiler. All items are contained in a later manufactured leather luggage case with red felt interior. The case is in very good condition with a blank brass escutcheon plate on top. The bore is very good, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this magnificent Luger well done, authentic in every detail and difficult to discern from the original. Est.: $6,000-$12,000. (C+R).
