Pair of breach loading target pistols by J.P. Sauer and Sohn of Suhl, Germany in .44 Russian caliber cased with accessories. Note from Chuck Bradford (Pomona Gun Room) circa 1951 states purchased from Theodore Dexter in Lot Title 1932 for $72.50 and gives loading info. A check for $175 to Bradford dated Aug. 3, 1951 signed by Harold B. Polikinghorn, who was the Chief of Police in Riverside, California, purchasing just the pair. Polkinghorn was an Lot Title avid gun collector who sold the majority of his arms to the Wright family of Riverside who is our consignor. The pair measure 16” overall with a 9” medium weight octagon barrels and side locks. Fluted dueler style Lot Title butts, set triggers and release under trigger guard. Beautifully matted barrels with key adjustable sights. Checkered wood stocks. Fine to excellent condition with 95%-98% original finish and excellent close Lot Title checkering stocks.
