18AT-1 MAXIMILLIAN STYLE FLUTED ARMORVictorian era armourer’s copy of Maximiilin fluted armor probably by Schmidt. Finely formed and fabricated metal that is a genuine antique though not of Mid-16th century period. Several master armourer’s in Franceand Germany recreated “Castle Armour” to adorn the great halls and castles of Europe. Armor was rare and collected in the 19th century! Measures approximately 67” in height on stand. The condition is very good andstraps intact and hangs or displays well. Similar example though not as well shaped in our in opinion fetched over $20,000 in The William Ashby auction.
