18AH-2 1892 WINCHESTER RIFLE #59559Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle, .44 WCF caliber, Serial #59559. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 24” octagon barrel and full-length magazine. The barrel, magazine and receiver are showing a heavydark brown patina with light to moderate surface rust in areas. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition showing mars and compressions consistent with carry and use. The butt stock ends with a smooth steelcrescent butt plate. The consignor indicates that the rifle descended from the Cartwright family of Sunflower County, Mississippi. They further stated that the rifle was in the personal collection of Sheriff Cartwright of Sunflower County. The bore is rough and may clean; the action functions and markings are legible.
